That means we have more choices, but we have to spend more time comparing to find the exact model that will fit our needs directly. Two typical examples are the Mazda CX-5 and the all-new 2019 Toyota RAV4.
Despite their qualities, these two sport utility vehicles are very different and as much as they can meet many different types of needs, they will not meet the same needs. The Toyota RAV4, for example, stands out mainly in terms of interior space, power and safety technologies.
A more powerful engine in the 2019 Toyota RAV4
The 2019 Toyota RAV4 offers a single, traditional gasoline engine, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Compared to the base engine making 155 horsepower in the Mazda CX-5, the RAV4 is certainly the most powerful model. The 2019 Toyota RAV4 even offers more power under the hood than the most powerful engine in the CX-5 range, which develops 187 horsepower. The other interesting element of the RAV4 is that despite its superior power, it offers a fuel consumption rating that is roughly identical to the Mazda CX-5.
Inside, the new 2019 Toyota RAV4 is one of the most spacious models in its class with more than 1,000 liters of cargo space. The Mazda CX-5 is one of the least spacious models in its class with only 875 liters of space. In addition, the 2019 Toyota RAV4 comes standard with several driver assistance technologies including adaptive radar cruise control, automatic braking with pedestrian detection, and lane departure prevention. The Mazda offers similar technologies, but not standard.
