It's no secret that Toyota is one of Canadian consumers' favorite automotive brands. People love the products, but especially their reliability and durability. They know they are getting a good deal when they purchase a Toyota product.
This past August, once again, people here showed just how much they love vehicles from the Toyota group, with a significant number of transactions.
In fact, August 2025 will go down as a banner month for Toyota Canada, which recorded 21,848 model sales, an increase of 14.4% compared to August 2024.
This result is proof that the brand's diverse approach, which offers a variety of products, is paying off. And the focus on hybrid models is also proving successful, as nearly half of the vehicles sold were electrified. This also aligns with the current aspirations of consumers here.

The Toyota division saw 19,346 of its models sold in August, a 16% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Of that total, 48% were electrified models.
Among the models that largely contributed to these figures is the hybrid Camry, with 1,073 units claimed, a 148.4% increase compared to 2024, something unprecedented in this category.
For its part, the hybrid Corolla saw its numbers explode in August with 1,267 sales, an 80% increase compared to the same period in 2024. The Prius PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid) confirmed its continued popularity with 1,133 sales, a year-over-year jump of 38%.
The hybrid Tacoma pickup truck jumped by 44.9% and the Sienna minivan had its best August ever with a +7.4% increase. The RAV4, which is assembled in the country, continues to perform well with 6,351 units sold, a 16% rise.
Finally, regarding Toyota's luxury brand, we're talking about 2,502 units sold, an increase of 3.4% compared to the same period in 2023. Of this number, 57.6% were electric, hybrid, or plug-in hybrid models.
Even the largest RX is doing well with 961 units sold, an 11.2% jump over 2024. The PHEV variant was even more appealing with an increase of 38.8%, again compared to August 2024.
As we can see, Toyota has the wind in its sails, and the brand's electrified solutions continue to represent an increasingly significant percentage of sales.
