For 2019, the Toyota C-HR is receiving several enhancements that ensure Toyota's entry-level SUV is even more appealing to buyers looking for a spacious, affordable utility vehicle.
More features in the 2019 Toyota C-HR
Among the changes are the addition of a windshield de-icing system, an 8-inch screen now standard, a rear-view camera and Apple CarPlay. The Entune 3.0 multimedia system is also available.
The starting price of the Toyota C-HR is also lower. Indeed, it will be offered with 17-inch wheels, a keyless entry system, a 12-volt power outlet and power windows for just $ 23,675. That’s about $2,000 less than the outgoing model.
The XLE version starting at $ 25,725 adds the Entune system, heated front seats and lumbar support. Two other versions, the Premium and the Limited, are also available to consumers. Under the hood, the 2019 C-HR gets the same four-cylinder engine that develops 144 horsepower and 139 pound-feet of torque. This engine is one of the most efficient in its segment.
It should also be noted that all Toyota C-HR models are equipped with the Toyota Safety Sense P system, a set of driver assistance technologies including the Pedestrian Detection function that provides forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist function, Automatic High Beams, and full speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. Other standard safety features include the six active technologies of the Toyota Star Safety System, 10 airbags, a backup camera, direct tire pressure monitoring system, and more.
“There’s nothing quite like the C-HR for its blend of distinct styling, amenities, and technology – plus incredible driving fun,” said Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc. “In just its second year of production, we’re already enhancing our unique coupe/crossover with additional features and a selection of trim levels to make it even easier to find your perfect C-HR.”
