The all-new 2020 Corolla is ready to kick off another decade of innovation, style, and economy in this wildly successful compact sedan. Three model lines—L, S, and new Hybrid—offer a total of 8 trims for you to choose from.
The refined exterior of the 2020 Corolla represents decades of styling improvements. At first sight, it resembles its luxury cousins with the sharp and pronounced front end and flowing lines. All three model lines receive plenty of standard equipment, including designed splash guards, power-adjustable and colour-keyed heated mirrors, colour-keyed door handles, bi-beam LED headlamps, and more.
The sportier S models upgrade to a rear lip spoiler, dual exhaust, and sport front bumper and grille.
Better efficiency and more freedom in the 2020 Toyota Corolla
All L models share a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 139 horsepower and 126 lb-ft of torque. One of the best features of the Corolla is it has one of the best gas mileage ratings on the road. On all gas models, highway fuel consumption ranges from just 5.8-6.1 litres per 100 km! The S models have a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that reaches 169 horsepower with 151 lb-ft of torque that has minimal impact on gas mileage. For maximum efficiency, you can opt for the Corolla Hybrid with an average fuel consumption of just 4.5 l/100 km. The Hybrid versions are powered by a 1.8 Liter combustion engine, paired to an electric motor that work together to produce 121 horsepower.
So much technology in the 2020 Toyota Corolla
The interior is jam-packed with standard features across all model lines. A 3-spoke steering wheel with audio controls simplifies your driving. You’ll be comfortable in the 5-way adjustable driver’s seat as your front passenger has 3 adjustments. There’s plenty of technology, including the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian and Bicycle Detection, Lane Departure Alert, a backup camera, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.
The S, XLE, and Hybrid models also have a smart key system with push button start. The L 6M and LE CVT have a 7-inch display screen, and all other trims have a larger 8-inch model.
On the Hybrid models, the battery was strategically positioned under the floor in order to provide the same trunk space as offered in the gas models.
